Campbell Wallis.

Campbell, Scottish Racing fan, Nintendo Fan, owner of Sensible Nintendo, a Nintendo where Campbell gives his thoughts about the newest launches of Nintendo and Nintendo games.
Well Campbell first to all thanks for accept this interview for “From the other side of Racing”
Let’s go with the questions

1) Why you are an F1 Fan?

I’m an F1 fan because I love technology and speed, and motorsport is the perfect combination of the two. More than that, the stories behind the racing are fascinating — more so than pretty much any other sport, with personalities often clashing.

2) How started your love to F1?

My love for F1 actually starts with video games. I bought F-1 World Grand Prix and very quickly got addicted to it. I then thought that I should try watching the sport behind the game, and it all went from there!

3) Who is your favorite F1 Driver and why?
“My favourite current driver is Kimi Raikkonen, because not only is he fast, he’s very cool and calculating behind the wheel. The “leave me alone, I know what I’m doing” radio message in Abu Dhabi will go down in F1 legend. His interview answers are awesome too”.

4) Your thoughts about F1 with Social Media?
“Following F1 on Twitter adds a new dynamic to the sport, as you immediately get additional perspectives on any talking points. However, series like IndyCar and the BTCC have an official presence, and I wish F1 would follow suit”.

5) Describe in one word, the 2012 F1 Season?
“Great”.

6) What thing you would you to change in F1?
“I would take the races back to the fans. While races in Malaysia and America have been successful, those in China, Abu Dhabi and Bahrain have not. That we no longer have races in places like France, Portugal and Mexico isn’t right as there are big fan bases in these countries”.

7) Do you follow other types of Racing and why?
“Besides F1, I mostly follow IndyCar and BTCC (British Touring Car Championship). IndyCar had an amazing season in 2012 (my first season), with cracking races on both ovals and road courses, and is spectacular to watch. The BTCC meanwhile has a strong following in Britain, and it’s the only major series where I can go to the races regularly”.

8) Greatest F1 car off all time?
“The McLaren MP4/4. The way McLaren were able to so effortlessly flatten the rest of the field in 1988 was so impressive, as they got more out of the car, the engine and the drivers. That they would have won every race that year had Jean-Louis Schlesser not taken out Senna speaks for itself”.

Jim Clark

Jim Clark. Scottish Driver, double F1 World Champion (1963 – 1965).

9) Greatest F1 Driver of all time and why?
“Jim Clark was the ultimate driver for his era, a match for Senna, Fangio and Schumacher. When given a reliable car, he absolutely dominated the field, and would surely have won much more had he lived”.

10) Your thoughts about Helmut Marko?
“I think he really holds the power behind Red Bull and Toro Rosso, whatever he says, and is single minded in his attempts to get the best drivers. He’s much like Luca Di Montezemolo or Ron Dennis in that respect, but there’s something different which I can’t quite fathom…”
